Abstract
Eight attributes were investigated in 144 heterosexual men to establish whether they could significantly predict Rape Proclivity. Whilst 62 per cent of the participants in the sample indicated some proclivity to raping a woman, none of the attributes were significant. These findings were likely due to measurement errors/lack of statistical power, but they could imply that the average rapist is like the public when such predictors are considered.
