Can Free Floating SARS-CoV-2 Viral Material Diminish the Amount of Epidermal Growth Factor and Promote Alzheimer Disease in Women with COVID-19 in Menopause Transition?

Abstract

The question is raised if there are protein sequences of SARS-CoV-2 that stand-alone can cause neuro-gynecological damage. We found that free floating nucleocapsid can capture EGF and that likely SARS-CoV-2 spike can competitively inhibit TGFβ. Women in menopause transition are vulnerable to lack of EGF-to-EGFR. Therefore, in e.g. aftercare of COVID-19, it is wise to pay attention to cognitive functioning of those women.
