Abstract
As more commercial businesses use facial recognition and other biometric technologies to improve security, manufacturers are under pressure to keep pace with other sectors. A 2018 report from the EEF industry association shows that 48% of manufacturers have experienced some form of cyber-attack and 24% of those who experienced an attack suffered financial or customer losses as a result 1 . There is also a chance that these figures are too low because not all manufacturers realise that they are the victim of an attempted or successful cyber-attack. In light of this, this article reviews how biometric technologies could be used to better secure manufacturing facilities.
