Abstract
Experimental measurements, mainly differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and variable-temperature X-ray spectra (Guinier-Simon) are presented for different compositions ( X pe ) of the binary system pentaerythritol-neopentylglycol. Calorimetric results are analysed through the “shape factors method”, and compared to those of X-ray recordings, allowing the presentation of the unusually complicated phase diagram proposed here, with the presence of metatectic, peritectic and eutectoi'd invariants.
