Abstract

The purpose of this document is to solicit community feedback on the Data Access Quality and Curation for Observational Research Designs (DAQCORD) Guidelines, data quality indicators for large observational studies. The document contains the INCF standards and best practices committee's review of DAQCORD, and the criteria in which it was evaluated (open, FAIR, testing and implementation, governance, adoption and use, stability and support, and comparison to similar standards). For the next 60 days, we are seeking community feedback on DAQCORD. About DAQCORD: The guidelines provide a framework for achieving high-quality data by providing a descriptive system for planning and reporting observational studies. Forty six indicators are provided that cover 5 dimensions: completeness, concordance, correctness, plausibility, and representation. While the guidelines were developed in the context of traumatic brain injury research, they are generalizable to other domains.
