Abstract

The Monte Carlo calculation technique has been used to solve the problems of molecular flow for complex vacuum devices which have no analytical solutions or these solutions are too crude for application. During many years we have used this method for the determination of the conductance of complex pipes, to optimize the configuration of valves and cryogenic pumps. Some experiences in overcoming disadvantages of this method are presented in this work in the form of methodological, software and calculational aspects.
