Abstract

The dose absorbed in internal organs is not measurable during diagnostic X-ray examinations and Monte Carlo calculation techniques can be used in their determination. Some results of relevance to chest radiography are presented, and the doses absorbed by the different parts of the inhomogeneous Snyder phantom as well as the quality of the image on a non-screen film are calculated.
