Abstract

AbstractA model for calculation of time dependent temperature fields in a cylindrical furnace used for crystal growth experiments is described. The comparison of the calculated and the experimental temperature profiles shows good agreement in the stationary case and the suitability of the model for the prediction of static temperature fields on the basis of given heating power distributions, and vice versa.
