Abstract

The proposed probabilistic approach to calculation makes it possible to give a more objective estimate of the stability of earth slopes. Furthermore, in this case it is possible to isolate parameters which have the greatest effect on stability in order to conduct, if necessary, additional experimental investigations to refine them.
