Abstract
The activation energy for cross-slip in f.c.c. crystals is calculated. The usual ambiguity due to the uncertain inner cut-off radius for dislocations is avoided by including explicitly the core energy. The numerical results are described by appropriately scaled analytical interpolation formulae.
