Abstract

One of the most popular problems that have emerged with the deregulation of the electric power industry is the calculation of Available Transfer Capability (ATC). ATC measures the available capacity in the transmission system for further commercial transactions between power suppliers and consumers. It has a substantial impact on the successful operation of the power markets from both the technical viewpoint and the economical perspective. This paper conducts a comprehensive study and calculation of ATC and applies different integrated methodologies effectively on the interconnected network of Bangladesh Power System Network. Network response method is applied both manually and using simulating software which has been developed to find out the ATC of nth bus system.
