Abstract
This research focused on the calculation and analysis of the loss for the tubular flux-switching permanent magnet linear motor (TFSPMLM). The magnetic filed of the primary and secondary irons were calculated, and the flux density components in the radial and axis direction were analyzed. On the basis, the iron loss models including the eddy current loss and hysteresis loss were established. The iron loss model for the primary took the magnetic field features into account, including the non-sinusoidal magnetic field, existing D. C. magnetic bias. And the iron loss model for the secondary had considered the influence of the small hysteresis loops (B-H loops). The distribution and variation of iron loss densities on the primary and secondary had been obtained. Moreover, the whole iron loss on the primary and secondary were also calculated and compared. Finally, the proportions of the iron loss, winding loss and eddy current loss in the permanent magnets (PMs) were analyzed and compared in brief.
