Abstract

For the purpose of organizing longitudinal compensation for long-distance overhead power transmission lines, the authors proposed in previous works the method of using their own distributed capacitance - the construction of an open power line with a split phase, the components of which are electrically isolated from each other in such a way that one part of the components is connected only to the power supply buses, and other part only to the consumer's buses. The aim of this paper is definition the construction of common area's cable of self-compensated open cable transmission line, the optimum in terms of the maximum value in-phase capacitance and the highest value of the maximum permissible current density and to calculate the values of mutual capacitance in split-phase of open transmission line for the subsequent evaluation of the effectiveness of its construction by calculating the steady-state modes.
