Abstract
We have calculated angle-resolved uv photoemission spectra from the (001) surface of β′-NiAl for s-polarized radiation. We included realistic values for the lifetimes of the hole and electron, the experimentally observed surface relaxation and preferred Al termination. Except for one peak that is incorrectly positioned in one set of data, the calculated spectra are very similar to those measured experimentally indicating that the 1-electron description holds well for the electronic structure and photoemission from β′-NiAl.
