Abstract

Within the SSH-Hamiltonian [1] interacting with an external electric field as a model for optically pumped polyacetylene the classical dynamics of the pump induced current density as well as the electronic energy eigen values are determined numerically. Fluctuations of the monomers are taken into account changing the displacements at constant total energy. The characteristic peaks of the current density are discussed. Local field corrections are included in the microscopic electric field.
