Abstract
The semi-empirical Deutsch-Märk (DM) formula was used to calculate crosssections for the formation of Nm + (m = 2-7) and Arm + (m = 2-18) ions by electron impact on the neutral atoms. Our calculated crosssections for these multiple ionization processes are compared with availableexperimental and other theoretical data and systematic trends in the data arehighlighted.
