Abstract

A material consisting of 17 patients with hyperparathyroidism shows the presence of urinary tract calculi in 70% of the patients. Calcium excretion in the urine increases with increasing duration of disease. The mean duration of symptoms in patients without urinary tract calculi was 2.4 years, and 13.6 years in patients with recurrent calculi.
