Abstract

Cem Sunata was feeling helpless. As the University Registrar at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo he could see which high demand classes ran out of seats quickly. He could discern the patterns and inefficiencies at the 22,000‐student school that kept people from graduating, but he felt powerless to make the needed changes.
