Abstract
Abstract Materials were tested for the control of cabbage looper and beet armyworm on iceberg lettuce ‘Empire’ in Imperial Valley, Calif. The plots were two beds (40-in double planting) 50 ft long with four replicates in a randomized block design. Treatments were applied using a hand sprayer equipped with a CO2 cylinder fitted with 4 nozzles (#8004) per bed operated at 60 gals/acre and 30 lb/in2 . Treatments were made on 28 Oct. and 18 Nov. for all plots and an additional one for the virus on 11 Nov.
