Abstract

The article deals with the problems and specifics of the career development of the students’ obtaining MA degree in international information in the process of professional training. The particular attention is paid to the phase of professional education. A variant of the procedural and content model of career promotion of future specialists in international information at the stage of quasi-professional activity is proposed. Comprehensive support of the development of the student’s career through a period of studying at a higher education institution involves the considering professional expectations and facilities; assistance in adapting to future professional activities; counseling on issues of personal growth and the choice of an individual career path.A new look at the specifics of the career development of a future specialist shows it as a dynamic pursuit of certain career cycles, each of which consists of mini stages of professional development and is accompanied by a constant learning process.The personal aspect involves the consideration of this phenomenon from the position of a personality, revealing the peculiarities of his or her vision of a career. The social aspect is expressed through the ideas of a career development from the point of view of society. The organizational aspect involves the understanding of a career as a purposeful professional growth, progressive advancement on official steps, changes in qualifications and remuneration.These approaches to the interpretation of the career phenomenon make it possible to determine the career of a future specialists in international information not only as a process of purposeful and consistent professional development, the growth of authority, status in the social, economic, and moral spheres, expressed in advancing on the steps of the qualification hierarchy, in enhancing prestige in professional environment, but also as a process of building a holistic image of themselves as competent professionals.
