Abstract
Exposure to indoor air pollutants is one of the primary environmental health stressors, the most important categories of chemicals that occur in the indoor air are BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes). All of them are used in many commercial building products and materials use indoor. Each of the chemicals in the mixture of concern is volatile, well absorbed, extensively metabolized, and does not persist in the body for long periods of time. All of the BTEX chemicals can produce neurological impairment. The aim of this work is on research and analysis of indoor air quality. seasonal fluctuations and to assess the impact of chemical pollutants in a closed environment in southwest Bulgaria.
