Abstract

A compact broadband multi-way radial power divider based on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology is presented and a novel probe transition is employed to obtain broadband performance. An equivalent circuit model and a simplified design approach are also proposed in this paper. An eight-way broadband multi-way SIW radial power divider is designed, fabricated, and measured. Good agreement between simulated and measured results is achieved for the proposed power divider. The measured insertion loss of the eight-way power divider is approximately 9.5 dB and return loss is greater than 15 dB over entire C-band.
