Abstract

This paper presents the results of a study of changes in the characteristics of planar broadband microstrip antenna, after it is located on a cylindrical surface. The planar microstrip antenna has a VSWR<2 and gain from 8.3 to 9.0 dB in the band of 1.8–2.2 GHz. As follows from the studies after location on the cylindrical surface, the antenna retains these characteristics are almost unchanged when a large bending radius of surface. The conformal microstrip antenna with radius of cylindrical surface R=500 mm has VSWR less than 2 in the frequency range of 1.813–2.207 GHz (22.2%). In the frequency range the gain has a value from 7.4 to 8.8 dB.
