Bright and dark soliton of probe and couple laser beam in an electromagnetically induced transparency

Abstract

Maxwell-Bloch (MB) equation describes the evolution of short pulses of probe and couple laser beam in Λ system. We construct bright and dark soliton solutions for both probe and couple field by employing gauge transformation method. We also extended this method to construct multisoliton solution in which we observed bright and dark two-soliton pulses and their elastic, inelastic collisions of probe and couple beam.
