Abstract
Abstract: This chapter explores the transformative impact of remote sensing technologies on biological sciences, highlighting how these innovations are breaking traditional barriers in scientific research and application. The integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), satellite imagery, and advanced sensor technology has revolutionized the ability to monitor and analyze ecological and biological phenomena at unprecedented scales and resolutions. From enhancing forest carbon models to identifying plant diseases before physical symptoms manifest, remote sensing has broadened our understanding of complex ecological interactions and improved management strategies. This chapter delves into various studies that showcase the synergy between UAV and satellite technologies, the opportunities they present in forest management, the role of remote sensing in plant pathology, and the advances in UAV applications across diverse environmental contexts. By providing a comprehensive overview of current innovations and their applications, this chapter demonstrates how remote sensing is not only advancing scientific knowledge but also contributing to sustainable practices and policies worldwide.
