Abstract
Structure, composition, breakdown voltage and electrical strength of TA- and MAO-coatings formed on aluminum alloys are studied. It was found that increase in temperature of electrolyte solution leads to significant decrease in thickness and porosity of TA- and MAO-coatings, as well as to decrease in their breakdown voltage and electrical strength. It was found that when temperature of electrolyte solution increases, the porosity of TA-coatings significantly increases in outer and inner layers, and in MAO-coatings – only in outer layers. It is shown that significant changes in phase composition of MAO-coatings have little effect on changes in their electrical strength.
