Abstract
The Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) three year data favour a red powerspectrum at the level of two standard deviations, which provides a stringent constraint on theinflation models. In this note we use these data to constrain brane inflation models and findthat the KKLMMT (Kachru–Kallosh–Linde–Maldacena–McAllister–Trivedi) model cannot fitWMAP+SDSS (Sloan Digital Sky Survey) data at the level of one standard deviation and a fine-tuning,eight parts in a thousand at least, is needed at the level of two standard deviations.
