Abstract

The internal stress and strain state of thin anisotropic laminate under bending–extension coupling is studied. The layup may be arbitrary as well as the type of anisotropy in ply materials. In the proper plane the boundary of laminate region is supposed to be elliptic. On the basis of modified complex potentials the exact solutions of boundary value problems (BVPs) for inner ellipse and for outer ellipse are obtained in the form of convergent series. A few numerical examples are given for the simplest case of circular boundary of region.
