Abstract
The lattice Boltzmann models for the shallow water equations with or without turbulence modelling (LABSWE and LABSWETM) are described in Chapters 3 and 5, respectively. The centred scheme for accurate evaluation of the force term in the lattice Boltzmann equation is described in Chapter 4. In order to solve shallow water flow problems by use of either LABSWE or LABSWETM, suitable boundary conditions must be provided. Therefore, this chapter firstly describes various boundary conditions for solid walls, which cover the bounce-back scheme for no-slip boundary conditions and the elastic-collision scheme for slip and semi-slip boundary conditions. Then, the boundary conditions for inflow and outflow boundaries are introduced. Finally, initial conditions are discussed.
