Abstract
Carbon-based photothermal catalysts represent a novel, energy-saving, and eco-friendly paradigm in catalysis. In this work, multiscale porous Pd/carbon nanofibers catalyst (Pd/MPCF) was synthesized by electrospinning, CO2 thermal activating and atomic layer deposition (ALD) method. The multiscale pores of MPCF enable uniform Pd deposition on the carbon support, which showed better catalytic performance in Suzuki coupling reaction than commercial Pd/C catalyst through harnessing solar heat, resulting in a zero fossil energy consumption reaction process.
