The first edition (1935) was ably reviewed for Poultry Science (Vol. 14: 354, 378, 380). The debt of gratitude which Dr. Hutt recognized in his statement that to Dr. Barger and Dr. Card “should go the thanks of the entire poultry industry for an excellent summary” has been more than repaid by the recognition of this book and the demand for a revision.The revision contains 22 more pages and 7 more figures.
