Abstract
This text is intended for use in an introductory undergraduate course in electric power engineering. As the author suggests in the preface, a course based on this text is suitable for students from various engineering disciplines, since the only prerequisite material is basic physics and electric circuits. This book is quite different from the author's previous text, Electric Energy Systems Theory: An Introduction, which is suited to an audience of electrical engineering students with backgrounds in state variables and control theory.
