Abstract

This is a handy sized book which summarizes the author's experience in the related fields of cardiac imaging by isotopic and magnetic resonance techniques. The 16 chapters are divided into three broad sections. The first section deals with physiology, and incorporates detailed discussion of the evaluation of myocardial blood flow and metabolism by single and dual photon emitters. The third chapter on radionuclide ventriculography would seem more at home in the second section which discusses the imaging techniques themselves from thallium planar and SPECT imaging to PET and MRI.
