ISBN-10: 1576262308 It is a pleasure to review the fourth edition of A Woman's Decision: Breast Care, Treatment & Reconstruction , written by Karen Berger, the late John Bostwick, and Glyn Jones. Hailed by the L.A. Times as “a book that should be read by every woman,” this book has been a staple for women with breast cancer since it was first published in 1982. I distinctly remember ordering numerous copies of the first edition and providing it to my breast reconstruction patients. It was then and still is an excellent source of information. It has been 10 years since the last edition of A Woman's Decision . This new edition has been totally revised and updated to reflect the latest developments in breast cancer treatment and recent advances in breast reconstruction. Written in an intelligent but accessible manner, this book addresses complex and somewhat frightening topics in a gentle and forthright way, providing women with the knowledge needed to feel confident in their decisions.
