Abstract

ABSTRACTBoogie, el aceitoso is a comic book character created by Roberto Fontanarrosa that first appeared in the magazine Hortensia in 1972. From its first release until 1995, twelve volumes of the comic were published. The Argentinian film Boogie, el aceitoso premiered in cinemas in 2009. This article proposes an exercise of semiotic transposition and intertextuality1 between the book Todo Boogie2 and the film Boogie, el aceitoso (película).3 Semiotic transposition is here understood as the social operations through which a piece of work or a genre changes its reference framework or sign system,4 and intertextuality as a dialogue between texts that are linked by a chain of signification.
