Clare Elizabeth Carey, Clare Elizabeth Carey Consultant, educator, and expatriate: Dr. Clare Elizabeth Carey specializes in organizational change and works with clients facing major transitions. Now, in the fourth stage of her career, Clare serves as an internal consultant in government. She worked as a teacher in public education, an instructional designer and manager in industry, and an executive director in business. The breadth and depth of her experiences afford her the unique ability to apply theory to reality. Clare earned a Doctorate from the University of Maryland in the area of performance technology and human resources and a Masters of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University in the area of crisis counseling. While living in England, Cambridge University honored Clare with a Visiting Scholar position. Living overseas has heightened Clare's appreciation for the diversity of customs, norms, and values in the global environment. With a love for learning, Clare continues to teach courses in Business and Management for the University of Maryland (worldwide) and to promote ISPI and human performance technology across countries and cultures. Recently, Clare moved from Munich, Germany to Seoul, Korea with her wonderful spouse, Wayne, and loquacious cat, Zoro, where they continue to cherish the wonders of the unfamiliar.
