Abstract

Bu calismanin amaci, bunyesinde anasinifi bulunan ilkogretim okulu yoneticilerinin okul oncesi egitime yonelik goruSlerinin belirlenmesidir. Bu amacla, 2010–2011 egitim ogretim yilinda Tokat iline bagli bunyesinde anasinifi bulunan 57 koy, 13 belde ve 28 merkez ilkogretim okulu yoneticilerden, amacli ornekleme yontemlerinden tabakali amacli ornekleme yoluyla 10’ar ilkogretim okulu yoneticisi secilerek orneklem oluSturulmuStur. CaliSmanin amacina yonelik olarak, araStirmaci tarafindan hazirlanmiS yari yapilandirilmiS goruSme formu araciligiyla ilkogretim okulu yoneticileri ile goruSmeler yapilmiS, ayrica uygun goruSu alinan yoneticilerin ses kayitlari alinmiStir. AraStirmadan elde edilen veriler nitel araStirma yontemlerinden icerik analizi kullanilarak analiz edilmiS ve yorumlanmiStir. AraStirma sonucunda bunyesinde anasinifi bulunan ilkogretim okulu yoneticilerinin okul oncesi egitim alani ve egitimin icerigi hakkinda bilgi eksiklikleri bulundugu ve dolayisiyla okul oncesi ogretmenlerine geregi kadar rehberlik edemedikleri belirlenmiStir. Ayrica yoneticilerin bu konuda hizmet ici egitime ihtiyac duyduklari saptanmiStir.Abstract The aim of this study is to determine the opinions about preschool education of principals of elementary schools including kindergarten. For this purpose, in 2010-2011 academic years the sample in the city of Tokat was formed with 10 elementary schools’ principals from each kind of schools chosen by stratified sampling method from the principals of the 57 villages, 13 towns and 28 central elementary schools including kindergarten. In some schools because of reasons such as preschool teachers who are the key participant interviews having annual leave holiday, a teacher not to want interview and instead of preschool teacher the other teacher work, 8 schools in towns, 9 schools in villages were reached. For the purpose of the study, elementary schools’ principals were interviewed through the semi-structured interview form, prepared by the researcher; also sound recordings were taken from the principals whose appropriate sight was received about it. The data obtained from research was interpreted using content analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. As a result of the research, it was found that, principals of elementary schools including kindergarten are unfamiliar with preschool education, they don’t know the contents of preschool education so they are insufficient for guidance to preschool teachers. Also, it was determined that principals of elementary schools including kindergarten need in-service training about preschool education.
