Abstract

The BMA has said that it will resist the imposition of a new contract for junior doctors if it is “bad for patients, bad for junior doctors, and bad for the NHS.” The statement came after the Department of Health for England announced that it would impose a new contract for junior doctors in England in August 2016, for both new starters and new appointees. Last month the BMA Junior Doctors Committee said that it would not re-enter negotiations with NHS Employers over a new contract.1 …
