Abstract
Many services have been developed within the health sector through the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, as it provides timely treatment to patients by facilitating drug supply service and effective patient monitoring. It also provided special services to monitor elderly patients, as it speeds up the process of obtaining patient data and information, and this leads to speeding up the diagnosis process for the doctor, and then the patient receives treatment in a timely manner. However, IoT technology faces a problem with information and data security, especially when this information is sensitive. Recently, Blockchain technology has been combined with the Internet of Things technology and has solved many security problems. As when using Blockchain technology, it is difficult to tamper with patient information or hack IoT systems. This led to an increase in the efficiency and services provided to patients. This paper provides an overview of Blockchain and IoT technologies. Also, some challenges in using Blockchain and IoT technology in healthcare are discussed. Some applications of Blockchain and IoT in the healthcare sector are also mentioned.
