Abstract

A contraceptive clinical trial utilized a 91-day extended regimen oral contraceptive (OC) containing150 ��g levonorgestrel (LNG)/30 ��g ethinyl estradiol (EE) for 84 days followed by 7 days of low-dose estrogen (10 ��g EE) in place of placebo and a 28-day regimen (150 ��g LNG/30 ��g EE for 21 days followed by 7 days of placebo). Bleeding patterns between the two regimens were compared.
