Abstract

This volume is the eighth in a series of publications on the Clinical Delineation of Birth Defects and the first to deal primarily with the eye. Material for the publications has come from conferences held at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, the conference encompassing eye defects having been held there in May 1969. The National Foundation has co-sponsored these conferences. Thus, publication of the proceedings is in its Birth Defects: Original Article Series. The contents of part 8 can be lumped into three categories: a group of articles on corneal dystrophies, a large section on retinal anomalies and degenerations, and a miscellaneous group of shorter papers on such entities as albinism, anterior chamber cleavage defects, and microphthalmia.
