Abstract

An algorithm based on the “minimum flux hypothesis” for determining the relative charge distribution of spherical particles has been developed. Calculations were carried out for both equal and unequal ion mobilities. The algorithm was used to determine experimental criteria for the production of monodisperse aerosols and for the interpretation of measurements with ultrafine aerosols.
