Abstract

Investigate in the field of nanotechnology, a curiosity in green chemistry pathways are very useful to synthesis of nanomaterial. Green chemistry is due to eco-friendly, cost efficient, rapid and easy method. In this study, we report on Justicia adhatoda leaf extract was found to be suitable for the synthesis of gold nanoparticle. The instant color change was observed from pale yellow to ruby red to the reduction of Au3+ ions to Au0 and gold surface plasmon resonance band appeared at 537 nm. Temperature and pH parameters how it was affect the synthesis of nanoparticle are recorded by UV-Visible spectrophotometer. The structural study of synthesized nanomaterial showed spherical in shape and particle size about 13-57 nm examined by SEM as well as EDAX. Green synthesized colloidal gold nanoparticles are used as a catalyst in reduction reaction of 4-nitro phenol converted into 4-amino phenol.
