Abstract
Biomarkers in general used as an indicator of the biologicalresponse, pathological response and pharmacological responses and mostlyused in scientific fields. Specifically, biomarkers indicate change in expressionor the protein nature that correlate with disease progression. An idealbiomarker must be sensitive, specific and accurate and must be able to revealthe nature of disease / able to predict the outcome of the tumorreoccurrence. There are different types of biomarkers individualizingdifferent roles like diagnostic biomarkers, detection biomarkers, prognosticbiomarkers, predictive biomarkers. These biomarkers are used throughoutthe clinical trials process of cardiology, neurology and oncology and thepresent article describes the biomarkers
