Abstract

In the last two decades, the teaching of biology in Brazil has undergone a series of changes. These changes are reflected in the transformations to which the Brazilian Middle School has been subjected. Problems encountered in attempts at curriculum reform have been analysed. It is hoped that such analysis will facilitate future reform.
