Abstract

Research related to ethnoscience from culture, local wisdom, and local potential in Indonesia has begun to develop in the last seven years. However, there are still few studies in the field of Physics Education. Based on that, this research aims to identify and analyze the physics concepts from ethnoscience research in Indonesia, which originate from research journal articles starting in 2015 and ending in 2022. The study used a systematic literature review method with four stages: identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. After screening the 252 journal articles searched using the Mendeley and Google Scholar applications, it was decided that 20 articles would become research samples because they met the research criteria, namely articles focused on examining the physics concepts of culture, local wisdom, and local Indonesian potential. Based on the literature review, the results of the cultural aspects were still limited to traditional dances, games, and houses. In terms of regional or tribal aspects, the research is still limited to a few areas, such as Manokwari, Medan, Jawa Barat, Jawa Barat, Jambi, Sumatera Barat, Aceh, Sulawesi Selatan, Kalimantan dan Timor Tengah Selatan. While the aspects of the physics material studied in these studies, such as Keanekaragaman hayati, sistem gerak, zoologi dan botani, ekologi, pemanfaatan lingkungan. Other physics materials can also be investigated through cultural studies, local wisdom, or local potential from unreached areas in Indonesia. The findings show that it is necessary to explore more broadly and deeply related to the ethnoscience of physics education from culture, local wisdom, and other local potentials in Indonesia to be used as students’ learning resources in the classroom.
