Abstract
The pervasive cultural presence of Moravian missions among the Inuit of Labrador can be reconstructed and interpreted on the basis of a variety of archival corpora, which are now all housed in the Centre for Newfoundland Studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland St. John's, in Canada. One of the most urgent desiderata for missiological and historical scholarship is a reliable knowledge base of the mission personnel in Labrador. The present paper details efforts to establish a biographical-bibliographical on-line database of Moravian missions in Labrador, based on the archival and published records of the Moravian mission. This database will be part of a wider Moravian knowledge base and linked with a corpus of missionary autobiographies available on my Religion, Society, and Culture Homepage at Memorial University of Newfoundland and accessible via the following URL: http://www.ucs.mun.ca/∼hrollman .
