Abstract
Reverend Father Joseph Tardif de Moidrey passed away quietly at Shanghai, February 7, 1936, at the age of 78. A constant and interested reader of this JOURNAL, he was also a faithful correspondent. Born at Metz in 1858, he entered the Society of Jesus in 1876. In addition to the ordinary course of studies given in the Order, he began to prepare for a licentiate degree in mathematics.
