Abstract
AbstractA modified perturbation approach is used to describe anisotropic Wannier excitons. The influence of small external fields on the energy levels is discussed. The whole scheme is examplified in the case of GaSe and CdSe; anisotropy parameter and masses can be calculated in a consistent way.
