Abstract

In bilingual teaching, high quality original teaching materials are the best choice for improvement of teaching effects and talents cultivation. The material choice and education model is analyzed from the bilingual teaching practice of optical engineering. Based on application of original teaching materials, which are introduced from University of Arizona, the selective and conditional practice of original teaching materials bilingual teaching in series course of optical engineering for postgraduate and undergraduate teaching process is carried out. The reform of education model is studied in the practice process. According to the contents and thinking model difference of original teaching materials, the teaching model connected with subject character and fit for Chinese students is explored to realize the bilingual teaching of optical engineering subject. It is shown that obvious teaching effect is acquired from the bilingual teaching practice.
